Zagat 2007/08 Dining Guide Rating for Polo Restaurant
“Pampered” patrons call this “superb” New American in The Garden City Hotel the “crème de la crème” for its “inventive”, “exquisite” food (including a “superior Sunday brunch”), “elegant” dining room, with that “precious commodity-space between tables”-and, of course, the “exceptional” staff, which once again earns it the No. 1 spot for Service on Long Island; yes, the bill might elicit an “ouch!”, but “it’s worth the pain” for a meal that “excels in every way”

Zagat 2007/08 Dining Guide Rating for Rein Bar and Bistro
A less formal but still “classy” cousin to the neighboring Polo Restaurant in The Garden City Hotel, this “late-night” American-Eclectic pub offers a “comfortable” setting (with a fireplace and four “big screen TVs”) and fare that’s “several cuts above your routine hotel bar menu”; while some tab-watchers suggest they “rein in the prices”, most concur that the “caring staff” and “relaxed” atmosphere- enlivened by a DJ Thursday-Saturday- make for a “pleasant experience”.
NY Times
The Rein Bar & Bistro features "entrees and dishes that are alternately earthy and elegant, on what is perhaps Long Island's most refined, rarefied bar menu," according to
a recent review by New York Times. Click here to read about our "Excellent Rating" in a review by The New York Times.
